A gorgeous blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, the 2012 ‘Fuedo di Mezzo’ delivers beautiful aromas of strawberries and cherries followed by crushed stones and fresh floral. This medium-bodied red is silky and refined with wonderful balance and finesse as it heads into the elegant finish. I suspect this will continue to evolve over the next decade and prove to be an age worthy wine, so patience will pay off. (Best 2016-2027) - January, 2014 (JD)
