Chiappemacine is a Small cry situated at 550 meters asl, and lays on the last outreach of Mount Etna’s lava, that turns thin and shares the vines’ roots with the limestone bed below. The 2012 is an absolutely lovely showing, clean and precise with bing cherries and dried floral along with cardiman and dusty minerals. This possesses a gorgeous fine texture backed by firm tannins and a silky mouth feel. The finish is pretty with delicious red fruits and spices persisting. Still very youthful, this will benefit from some additional bottle age before it hits its stride. (Best 2018-2028) - August, 2015 (JD)
