Porcaria is situated at an altitude of about 650 meters on the slopes of Mt. Etna and is composed of soils of made of a frail lava sheet. The 2012 is simply gorgeous, offering aromas of cherries, raspberries and blueberries which are woven together with licorice, spices and violets. It impresses with its beautiful silky, elegant texture along with remarkable balance of fruit and acidity. The finish is beautifully polished, marked by bright, juicy fruits and spices which linger on and on. Still showing a youthful edge and should begin to blossom after a few more years of bottle age.
