The 2011 'La Tartufaia' Pinot Nero from Giulia Negri is very pretty, bursting with fresh aromas of ripe strawberries and wild berries followed by tar, smoke, exotic spices and wet stones. It offers an elegant style, with ultra-fine tannins, solid structure and a finish that is firm and juicy. This is a fantastic effort, picture Gevery-Chambertin in Piedmont.
