COPPO Chardonnay 'Monteriolo' 2008

top100-ico2013 Top 100 - Rank # 81
The 2008 Coppp 'Monteriolo' is a gorgeous 100% Chardonnay grown in marly, chalky soils of Agliano and Castlnuovo Calcea in Piemonte. It displays layers of aromas and flavors of lemon zest, tropical fruits, vanilla and pretty floral along with some white herbs and light toasted notes. This has wonderful rich texture that is well-balanced straight through the finish. This spent 9 months in 50% new and 50% used French oak and kept 30 months in bottle before release and is showing excellent right now. A fantastic Chardonnay from the Coppo Family. (Best 2013-2019) - October, 2013 (JD)
