The 'Animaversa' hails from the chalky, clayey soils of the Colli Euganei in Veneto. The 2011 is a wonderful showing, this modern styled red offers seductive aromas of blackberry, currant, vanilla, Asian spices, chocolate and violets, which burst from the glass. It boasts a full body with round, polished tannins and possesses wonderful concentration and depth. The finish is long, supple and mouth coating leaving a generous dose of sweet dark fruits and vanilla notes lingering.
