The 2013 Poggio Siresa Amarone della Valpolicella is a lovely showing in this vintage. Made from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara this opens to attractive aromas of macerated cherries and red plums woven together with florals, mocha, leather and licorice all taking coming together and soaring from the glass. On the palate this is full-bodied with well polished tannins and a juicy core which expands through the mouthwatering finish. Overall, this is a delicious Amarone which is delicious now, yet will evolve nicely with some short-term cellaring. (Best 2017-2025) - October, 2017 (JD)
