The 2008 Piano del Sarti Toscano Rosso is composed of 60% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Teroldego and 5% Merlot. It brings aromas and flavors of blackberry and plum fruit as well as spices and earth. It has a beautiful soft texture with silky tannins that glide effortlessly right into the caressing finish. Tenuta La Novella is perched 500 meters above sea level and located in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena in the Chianti Classico appellation. This vast area of 188 ha, abandoned for years, has regained its lost splendor, when in 1996, François Schneider fascinated by the beauty of the place decided to restore the magnificent old cellars and the entire vineyard.
