The 2013 'Perlato del Bosco' is made from 100% Sangiovese from estate vineyards in Suvereto. As this begins to open with pretty aromas and flavors of cherries and blackberries which are woven together with spices, leather and fresh herbs all taking shape in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, silky and nicely polished with a bright finish laced with red fruits and tarragon notes. The Sangiovese was aged for 12 months in a combination of French oak barriques and large barrels. (Best 2018-2025) - April, 2017 (JD)
