In 1980 the Pérez Pascuas brothers, Benjamín and Adolfo, produced their first harvest. Two years later, in 1982, they were part of the small group of wineries that founded the DO. Aromatically reticent at first, the Tempranillo wine is needing more than an hour decant. After time it brings aromas of black plum, spicebox and lovely terroir. There are flavors of red raspberry, cran-cherry, pomegranate and anise with a lovely saline edge. This needs a ton of time but there is potential for the patient drinker.
