The 2008 Carmen Rodriguez 'Carodorum Unico' is an incredible release from this estate. Sourced from vines over 100 years of age, this wine was aged for 20 months in new French oak prior to bottling. The wine opens with complex aromatics of black plum, black tea, cigar box and hints of white pepper. There are dense flavors reminiscent of blackberry pie, cherry cough syrup, black olive, anise and creme de cassis. This is a layered, silky and polished effort that is absolutely stunning.
