Intense aromatics of mango, yellow peach, fresh sage, honeycomb, and morning sea breeze blend together to create a very intriguing Chardonnay from the Mount Eden Selection of the Santa Rita Hills. The mouthfeel is bright with a burst of freshly sliced pineapple, honey covered ripe red pear, ground nutmeg and tangerine pith. The 100% new oak doesn’t overpower the fruit and is well integrated from the larger format barrels the wine sits in for 15 months as it develops into a fruity and herbaceous Chardonnay. Give this wine another year in the bottle to really show its potential. 582 cases produced.
