This outstanding Pinot Noir from Tyler is sourced from a specific, high mineral section in the Bentrock Vineyard, where there is a distinct vein of shale running through. The 2013 is a completely compelling wine, which instantly bursts open with fresh aromas of raspberries, wild berries followed by, spices, dried floral, smoke, crushed stones and hints of loam. On the palate this is impressive for its beautiful balance and precision along with a gorgeous, seamless texture that glides effortlessly into to satin-like finish. Today, this is showing incredibly well, but I only expect it to get even better after some additional time in bottle. (Best 2015-2027) - May, 2015 (JD)
