LUTUM Pinot Noir, Sanford & Benedict Vineyard 2014

This Pinot Noir from Lutum comes from the historic Sanford & Benedict vineyard. Planted in 1971 it is one of the oldest Pinot vineyards in Santa Barbara. The nose is beautiful with lots of cranberries, fresh strawberry, pomegranate, dark soil followed by hits of plum, and dark cherry. This has a remarkable texture and wonderful purity with red fruits and berries resonating through the wine. This is already accessible and will also continue to develop with age. (Best 2016-2026) - May, 2016 (MD)
