An absolutely brilliant showing in 2010 is the Belle Cousine, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot sourced from 23 year old vines in the Hyde Vineyard. This opens up with captivating aromas and flavors of dark fruits, cassis, dried herbs, mocha, sweet spices and anise, which are all woven together beautifully. It possesses a full body that is well structured with a gorgeous texture, and demonstrates wonderful focus all the way through the polished finish that lingers on. Today this is showing extreamly well, however it will also continue to evolve for another decade and beyond. Very impressive. (Best 2014-2026) - November, 2014 (JD)
