The 2011 vintage was a difficult one for most winemakers throughout the valley. Tor however, seemed to thrive, producing amazing Cabernets from all over the valley, with his To Kalon Cabernet blend being the most impressive. For the first time ever, Tor decided to pick from the few rows of Cabernet Franc at To Kalon, using 28% in this years overall blend, a decision which paid off handsomely. This opens up with seductive aromas of black currants and ripe dark cherries, which lead the way for spices, violets, tobacco, herbs and dusty minerals. It possesses amazing depth and concentration with remarkable balance. The fruit is extremely pure, wrapped in a gorgeous plush texture, which carries straight over into the long, persistent finish.
