The 2014 Tierra Roja Cabernet Sauvignon is a sensational showing in this vintage. Instantly opening with inviting aromatics of red currents and blueberries, which are woven together with sweet spices, tobacco, graphite, sage and hints of violets all taking shape. This displays wonderful concentration with excellent overall depth and balance. It continues to impress with its beautifully polished texture and remarkable finesse as flavors of red and blue fruits are laced with sweet spices, cocoa and graphite which all continue to build on the palate and linger effortlessly on the finish. While this is already quite appealing, it also shows lovely ageing potential. Overall, an absolutely fabulous Cabernet Sauvignon from Linda Neal and her winemaking team.
