The 2013 Edward James Estate Chardonnay is a show-stopping wine from the talented winemaking team of Paul Hobbs. After a few years in bottle this is showinf beautifully. On the nose this offers an exotic bouquet of pineapple, ripe banana and vanilla crème brûlée which soar from the glass. The palate reveals similar characteristics, ripe tropical fruits and a backed by a gorgoeus seamless texture that glides effortlessly through the mid-palate. Overall this is a sensational bottle of Chardonnay, and while it is drinking remarbably well now, it should continue to evolve over the next decade or so.
