The 10 acres of Pinot Noir in the Gunsalus Vineyard was planted in 2001 with a variety of Dijon clones. This 2011 Pinot Noir is made using 20% whole cluster with the berries being nearly 100% uncrushed. The nose displays aromas of red fruit, clove, raspberry, spice, blueberry, rose petal and dark soil. It is nicely balanced, with lovely texture and acidity leading into a long and elegant finish. Look to approach this over the course of the next decade. (Best 2015-2025) - February, 2015 (MD)
