DUTTON-GOLDFIELD Pinot Noir, Emerald Ridge 2013

The Emerald Ridge vineyard is located in the Green Valley. In 2001, Steve Dutton planted clones Pommard, 2A, 667 and 828 in Gold Ridge sandy loam soil at this vineyard site. The current release, the 2013 'Emerald Ridge' Pinot Noir opens with juicy aromatics of nutmeg, black truffle, and pomegranate. There are fruity flavors of red cherry, red raspberry, black truffle and a cranberry edge. This has some nice astringency alongside the fruit flavors. (Best 2016-2024) - June, 2016 (OB)
