TALISMAN Pinot Noir, Wildcat Mountain Vineyard 2014
This Pinot Noir is sourced from the Wildcat Mountain Vineyard, which is situated at 750 feet elevation on western edge of the Sonoma Valley. It opens with pretty aromas of strawberries and dark cherries, followed by earth, floral, dried spices and and forest floor, all taking shape beautifully in the glass. On the palate this is beautifully structured, coupled with a lovely silky texture, which ends with lingering spices and berries. While appealing now, it should certainly continue to become even more expressive with some short-term cellaring. (Best 2018-2028) - January, 2018, (MD)
