The 2014 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is sensational wine, which is composed of predominately Cabernet Sauvignon with remaining parts Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Petit Verdot and St. Macaire. This displays an impressive dark, inky color with aromatics of ripe blackberries and blueberries woven together with graphite, sweet spices, smoke and spring florals. On this palate this is rich and opulent, displaying an impressive combination of ripe fruits and underlying acidity keeping it fresh and inviting and flavors of dark fruits, graphite and sweet spices all build on the palate. Year after year the Howell Mountain Cabernet from O’Shaughnessy is a fabulous showing, and this vintage is certainly no exception as it is already utterly captivating.
