The 2008 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from Dunn is shaping up to be a timeless beauty. This beautiful wine is just begining to show som mature character, but still has so much youthful verve and freshness. This delivers inviting aromas of blackberries and cherries which are woven together with graphite, tobacco, dried spices and even hints of earth and leather showing beautifully. On the palate this is medium to full-bodied with beautifully polished tannins that provide excellent support. It goes on to impress with its wonderful overall balance and gorgeous texture that persists through the long finish. This is a beautiful wine from Dunn that still have pleanty of evolving to do over the next two decades.
