The 2020 Return from Littorai comes from all estate fruit that is grown at 1800 feet of elevation. A medium neon ruby core with a brickish rim displays gorgeously in the glass and presents a yummy earthy and spicy note on the nose and on the palate - think of aromas and flavors of fresh lavender, dried thyme, toasted cinnamon, crushed black cherry, mountain huckleberry, and cracked white peppercorn. Crunchy acidity and grippy tannins are present, and this Pinot Noir will need another year or two in the bottle before it’s ready for prime time.
