The 2014 'Impetus' is a gorgeous blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 34% Syrah and a touch of Malbec. Aromas of mocha, crème de cassis and roasted figs instantly fill the nose. On the palate there is a wonderful sense of balance, with a beautiful purity of fruit. Dark cherries, chocolate cake, crushed mint and coffee ground flavors all continue to leave an impression on the palate as the wine finishes long with dark fruits and a lovely mineral streak lingering.
