I don’t have the specs on this wine before tasting it, but my guess is that it’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and most likely sees a good percentage of new oak during aging. It’s a spectacular Washington Cabernet and sports a lovely deep ruby/purple color as well as impressive Cabernet notes of blackcurrants, black plum, cassis, tobacco leaf, baking chocolate and sandalwood. It’s a powerful, brooding, rich and full-bodied wine that has massive structure, depth and polished medium tannins. Please give this at least 3 years in bottle before you think about opening it.
