VALO Pinot Noir, Royal Slope ‘Conner Lee Vineyard’ 2020

Another grape that Washinton has struggled with for a variety of reasons as been Pinot Noir. But Valo pulls this one off/ With 20% whole cluster used during fermentation, it’s aged in new and neutral puncheons. It showcases a dark ruby-purple core with a brickish rim and is made in a reductive style. Elegant fragrances of dark cherry, boysenberry, blueberry liquor, toasted spice, and cedary herbs are all present. Crunchy tannins and lemony acidity complete the wine. Better in 2024. 160 cases made.
