The gorgeous 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon from Avennia consists of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc fruits and boasts a medium to dark purple core with a light neon purple rim in the glass. The Cab Franc brings lovely green peppery spice to the nose, alongside crushed dried flower petals, toasted anise, eucalyptus and ripe black cherry and boysenberry aromas. Chalky tannins and moderate acidity finish things off nicely with that lovely mountain herb finish that coats the back of the palate. Highly recommended.
