This is a massive Syrah to say the least, with layers of dense concentrated black and blue fruits along with olive, mineral, licorice, espresso, and some teriyaki/mesquite notes to name a few. Full-bodied and focused with big round tannins and a gorgeous structure leading to the mouth-coating finish. Another rockstar of a wine from Charles Smith. (Drink 2012-2030) - June, 2012. (JD)
