NINE HATS 'Red Wine' 2012

The 'Red Wine' is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 7% Syrah, 6% Petit Verdot, 6% Malbec and 5% Carmenere that was aged 16 months in French oak prior to bottling. From primarily Weinbau vineyard fruit, the wine opens with a rich nose or prune, dill, red cherry and oak. This leads to flavors of red cherry, dill, raspberry and red bell pepper. This food friendly wine is delicious and open -- and is one made for immediate consumption. (Best 2015-2020) - October, 2015 (OB)
