BOUDREAUX CELLARS Merlot 2009

This is a ripe and expressive effort from Boudreaux. Rob Newsome, formerly at Leonetti Cellars, holds back his wines, as this is their new Merlot release, while others are on their '12s and '13s. The Merlot was sourced 4 vineyards in 3 AVAs (Columbia Valley, Horse Heaven Hills, Walla Walla Valley). The wine opens with aromas of rose petals, black cherry, anise and raspberry preserves. There are flavors of black cherry, boysenberry and mocha. This expressive effort is irresistible now. (Best 2015-2025) - November, 2015 (OB)
