Christian Sparkman has developed a strong reputation for high quality Chardonnay over the past few years. His 2014 'Lumiere' bottling is no exception. Aged for 8 months in 38% new French oak, with weekly battonage for 4 months, this wine has a silky texture. This wine begins with aromas of poached pear, Pazzaz apple and nutmeg with oaky elements. Hints of creme brûlée alongside marzipan and ripe Bartlett pear. Lovely flavors and nice range to this wine. (Best 2016-2022) - March, 2016 (OB)
