JANUIK Red Wine, Reserve 2013

The 2013 'Reserve' Red Wine bottling follows up the absolutely superlative 2012 release. Speaking with Andrew Januik, he mentioned how choosing the best barrels for this wine typically serves as a huge challenge for he and Mike Januik. The final blend was 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc. This intense wine begins with rich aromas of red bell pepper, mocha, red cherry and blackberry pie. There are flavors of black olive, black cherry, black plum, coffee grounds and graphite with moderate tannins. Try to not touch this for another two years, as this will be another long-lived 'Reserve' by Januik. (Best 2019-2030) - April, 2016 (OB)
