SLEIGHT OF HAND Grenache 'The Sorceress' 2013

Deftly named for its feminine, seductive style, the 2013 'Sorceress' Grenache by Sleight of Hand is a fantastic release. This was 75% whole cluster fermented and spent 16 months in mostly neutral oak (85%). The wine opens with alluring aromas of black cherry, blood orange, crushed stone and seaweed. The palate is lovely and lithe, having flavors of red cherry, Umami, seaweed, Mandarin orange rind and damp earth. The texture is gorgeous, as the flavors continue to build on the finish making this impossible to resist. (Best 2016-2026) - October, 2016 (OB)
