This limited production wine is made from 68% Malbec with the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and is one of the most exceptional bottlings of its kind that I have tasted in the past few years. This Malbec dominant wine opens with aromas of black cherries, crème de cassis anise, violets, graphite and milk chocolate. The palate is plush, displaying ripe flavors of dark fruits, mocha and sagebrush nuances. Layered, massive and deep, this is a decadent treat. Allow this another few years for everything to soften, however that being said, this possesses the structure to have an exceedingly long life in the cellar. (Best 2018-2030) - March, 2017 (OB)
