As soon as you pull the cork on this you get hit with a blast of currant and roasted plum, then come the savory components like spices, pepper and herbs, you even get some smoky pipe tobacco. This is a blend of zinfandel, syrah and merlot, and you can really identify each varietal as they all come together to do their part in making up this wine.
