This blend of 52% Grenache and 48% Mourvedre was aged in 18 months in all neutral French oak puncheons. Beautiful to look at, sporting a neon ruby core with a light purple rim and starts off with notes of powdered graphite, crunch black pepper, sweet cinnamon and clove, and dried violets. The palate is red-fruit driven, with wild strawberries and macerated red cherries playing center stage. It’s a well-crafted and balanced wine and one that deserves some attention. About 325 cases were made.
