Composed of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Syrah, the 2020 Tempranillo The Stones Speak Estate is medium ruby in color and possesses a nose of unripe Asian plum and oak. On entry, settled but light tannic structure greets you with notes of unripe plum, Bing cherry, slight licorice and mild cigar wrapper. Light to medium bodied, I was expecting more of an impact from the sizable composition of Syrah. This wine won’t make old bones, so enjoy this easy drinking wine over the next seven or eight years.
