CÔTE BONNEVILLE Syrah 2013

Winemaker Kerry Shiels has an excellent handle on Syrah and this effort shows her talents. This deeply colored Syrah begins with aromas of red bell pepper, white pepper, black cherry and blackberry jam with creosote. This has concentrated flavors of mint, coffee grounds, blackberry cobbler and milk chocolate underlined by lovely minerality all leading up to the long layered finish. An impressive effort from this warm vintage. (Best 2017-2027) - August, 2017 (OB)
