The Estate Vineyard Syrah from Red Car is beautiful in 2014. It opens with seductive aromas of blackberry, blueberry, red currant, and plum, followed by cured meat, smoke, violet, fresh mineral, and tobacco. It is an elegant Syrah with a medium plus body. Loaded with sweet and sour berries, spice and a hint of blood orange on the long and supple finish. This is a fantastic wine to approach today, but should also benifit from 3-5 years of cellar time.
