The 2004 Pax ‘Richards Vineyard’ is a deep wine, with notes of grilled meat and barbeque/chili spices, framed by intense dark berry on the nose. There was a hint of floral characteristic lurking in the background. On the palate, more grilled meat and green olive tapenade to go with the black berry flavors. As it continued to open, it developed some Rhône like characteristics with great fruit and acidity to balance it out, ending with a medium length finish. A wonderfully pleasurable wine.
