BANSHEE Pinot Noir, Jack Hill Vineyard 2012

The 2012 Jack Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir is another outstanding effort with impressive elegance and purity. Jack Hill is a small 2-acre site and the coolest from which Banshee sources their Pinot Noir. As this begins to open it releases vibrant aromas of wild berries, raspberry, blood orange, dried floral, orange peel, spices and wet stones, which burst from the glass. On this palate this shows remarkable overall balance backed by bright acidity and a seamless texture, leading to the mouthwatering finish. There is already so much to like here, but ultimately this will be a wine to allow some additional bottle age. (Best 2017-2026) - May, 2015 (JD)
