The LaRue Emmaline Ann Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from a 3-acre plot near Freestone. Emmaline Ann is composed of pure Goldridge sandy loam soils with and Dijon clonal selections. Together, with its location near the pacific and high elevation allow for Katy Wilson to make this beautifully elegant and balanced style of Pinot Noir. As this begins to open, it releases gorgeous aromas of red cherries, raspberries, wild strawberries, dark soil, chalk dust, leather and fresh mineral, which leap from the glass. The palate is beautifully textured, backed by wonderful acidity and bright, juicy fruits. This remains focused and precise through the harmonious finish as it constantly continues to improve with each second of air. Overall, this young Pinot Noir shows tremendous Potential for evolving more than a decade. (Best 2017-2030) - May, 2015 (MD)
