BANSHEE Pinot Noir, Coastlands Vineyard 2013

Owned and farmed by the Cobb family, Coastlands Vineyard was first planted in 1989, and contains some of the oldest Pinot Noir vines on the Sonoma Coast. The 2013 Coastlands Vineyard Pinot Noir from Banshee is simply gorgeous, offering beautiful aromas of red currant, red cherry, guava and nutmeg all coming together in the glass. On the palate this is shows remarkable balance and finesse with red a fruit and black fruit flavor profile coming together with some fresh Shiitake mushroom. Distinctive bottling with terroir and poise which will cellar beautifully for another decade. This wine was aged 20 months in 20% new French oak prior to bottling.
