This Pinot Noir comes from the Thorn Ridge Vineyard, which is owned by Sonoma Grower Ted Klopp. The vineyard is divided by a ridge top that creates two distinct areas, one west facing and the other east facing. The west facing is the warmer side, and the fruit from there goes to entirely to Kosta Browne, while the east is the cooler side, and is the section where Banshee selects thier fruit from. As this lovely Pinot Noir begins to open it releases vibrant aromas of strawberry, plum, dark earth, and rose petals. On the palate this is beautifully balanced with a wonderful combibation of elegance and depth that carries into the finish. Todaym this still needs time to unwind, however it shows remarkable potential and I expect this to continue to evolve over the course of the next decade. (Best 2019-2030) - April, 2017 (MD)
