CAMPOVIDA Pinot Noir, Oppenlander Vineyard, 2013

The Campovida Pinot Noir is a very small production winery of less than 300 cases, from a vineyard located north of Anderson Valley. This very light body wine has a translucent hue of pale garnet, almost pink, and a fragrant nose of cranberry, lavender and orange peel. Although the palate has a core of tart raspberries, strawberries and savory herb, the piercing acidity is the dominant feature of this wine. An ideal food pairing wine with light poultry and seafood. (Best 2017-2020) - January, 2017 (DJH)
