The 2011 Pritchard Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is absolutely dazzling right out of the gate. It immediately opens with seductive aromas of sweet cassis, ripe blueberries, graphite and sweet spices, along with dried herbs and chocolate, which all come together in the glass. It possesses a full, voluptuous body that is beautifully structured with round, polished tannins, which explode on your palate. This remains wonderfully pure, focused and balanced with deep layers of flavors resonating all the way through the long supple finish. Today, this is already showing fantastic and will undoubtedly continue to age gracefully for many years to come. Overall, the 2011 Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is a remarkable effort from winemaker Phillip Titus and the entire team at Chappellet. (Best 2015-2035) - October, 2014 (JD)
