The Triple Crown Vineyard was planted in 2014 to commemorate that it is the third vineyard planted high atop the Dundee Hills. Aged for fifteen months in 100% new French oak, the 2017 Triple Crown Vineyard Chardonnay provides immediate appeal with its nutmeg infused Challah bread and damp earthy tones that combine with the bright red apple tones that all combine beautifully in the glass. The feeling of warmth and richness is apparent, as the silky mouthfeel entices. The wine seamlessly glides across the mid-palate, delivering a medium to full-bodied texture that is backed by vanilla cream, kumquat zest, sourdough bread and wet stone tones that all impress. Fantastic in its youth, the 2017 Triple Crown Vineyard Chardonnay should contine to show well for a decade or more.
