The 2021s from Nicolas-Jay are all so beautifully produced it’s hard to pick favorites between the line-up. The 2021 Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir was also aged in 50% new French oak barrels and is explosive on the nose with bountiful aromas of crushed wild raspberries, wild blueberries, Kirsh, toasted anise, and sweet baking spices. Crunchy tannins pair perfectly with the perfect levels of acidity racing towards a long and elegant finish. I would give this one another year or two in the bottle for the best drinking experience. Just 80 cases made. Highly recommended.
