First planted in 1999, the Bergstrom Vineyard is a 13-acre vineyard consisting of Pinot Noir clones Pommard, Wädenswil and Dijon 114, 115, 667 and 777, which benefit from the warm sunlight and cooled by the marine breezes of the Pacific Ocean by night. This Pinot Noir begins with aromatics reminsncet of black tea, loganberry jelly and suggestions of milk chocolate. The texture here is silky and downright stunning. Black cherry syrup, black tea, sage come together with cranberry and pomegranate flavors that entice. The smoky minerality and wonderful richness really make this utterly compelling.
